Welcome to Edau!
Edau, meaning "thread" in Welsh, was born out of my lifelong love affair with sewing, fashion, and creating beautiful garments.

After earning my degree in Fashion and Design, as well as a PGCE certificate, I spent over 12 years gaining experience designing my own collections, teaching dressmaking classes, and helping clients make positive changes to bespoke and custom pieces. Throughout it all, I became increasingly drawn to - and gifted in - fitting and altering gowns for brides, mothers of the bride and groom, proms and other special events. I am a bit of a perfectionist, after all!

Now, alterations are my specialty highlighted when I was fortunate enough to be voted as runner up in the Welsh Wedding Awards 2020, in the best Seamstress category. So rest assured you are in safe hands.
Whether it's a wedding dress, prom, or other special event, I approach every garment with extreme care, artistry, and attention to detail. My goal is for every client to look and feel their absolute best for life's biggest occasions, from nuptials to black-tie affairs. There's nothing quite like the joy of seeing someones vision come to life as my client walks, dances, mingles in your one-of-a-kind dream dress, knowing I played a part in making it come true.
